My Jane Austen Bride - Maine Wedding

Arrival at the Vistas of Maine is always an experience of being small in the great expanse of that view that reaches to the White Mountains. (https://www.vistaofmainewinery.com/ )

I was lucky to have Josh and Kim in front of my camera in the Fall of 2024. I couldn't get over how romantic they made every promt I gave and I couldn't wait for their wedding!

The bridal suite of the venue was something out of an Eduardian Novel. Kim's family and vendors were welcoming and helpful and the bond between them all was a very special thing to behold. So much care and love of eachother made every moment even sweeter.

The brightness of the rooms and the day made everything glowy and soft.

I had worked at the Vistas before but never had the privilege of creating images in the Bridal Suite. It's really a pretty and romantic backdrop for these special photographs.

Evening Vibes

The evening eased into a sunset that was just right, especially after a day of bright sunshine and clear skies. We got to enjoy a stunning show of peachy tones blending with soft oranges and gentle pinks, creating a scene that felt both calming and uplifting. The warm glow wrapped everything in a golden light. Standing there, soaking in the moment, we couldn’t help but admire the horizon. Wisps of clouds added some depth to the stunning view. With each passing moment, the colors shifted and it was an experience that brought a sense of peace. I felt thankful for the beautiful surroundings, a reminder of how nature can captivate and inspire, leaving us with memories of a day well spent. I will never take this beautiful life I get to live for granted.

After the Glow

After we lost daylight, we attended the reception, confident that we had captured everything we planned. It was now time for the joyful couple to enjoy dancing and laughing with their friends and family. The cake was excellent, and the dance floor was packed with both children and adults into the night.

Take Away

The Vistas of Maine is a fantastic venue for weddings. The staff is experienced in ensuring your special day goes off without a hitch, and the setting offers romantic and breathtaking views.

Josh and Kim took the time to walk and speak with every guest throughout the day and night. Their love and appreciation for each person who attended were evident, and it was heartwarming to witness the care they took in showing that gratitude. This is something I now strive to do more intentionally at every wedding I photograph—lead with the gratitude for the beauty of my job. I am truly thankful for each client who allows me to be a small part of their love story.
