Acadia National Park is in their backyard and offers so many epic backdrops for your ceremony and your photos.

Maine Ski Chalet Weddings

Skiesta - Newry, ME

Ski Chalets abound for people looking to ski in the winter in the Sunday River Ski area. And these rentals are perfect for micro-wedding venues in the off season in the Western Mountain Region of Maine. I have been lucky to photograph two such Micro-Weddings at Skiesta in Newry Maine.

The photos speak to the beauty of the venue. With the epic dance floor, game room and indoor pool in the basement, fun seems to be the goal here at Skiesta.

The Glen House - Newry, ME

The Glen House is another great Newry Micro-Wedding Venue offering an intimate place for a small group to gather together. The house backs up to a local golf club and offers amazing views and a ton of spaces to sit a while and catch up with your small group of family and friends. And just like Skiesta it's a very short drive to the Covered Bridge at the bottom of the hill.

Maine Pond Micro-Weddings

Coming from Texas many years back, I'm still amazed how there is a pond around every bend in the road up here in Maine.

Maine Pond Micro-Weddings tend to foster slow and calm wedding days, with the water and the trees creating incredible backdrops and filters for the light at all times of the day.

Bear Pond Micro-Wedding

Some days come together differently than others. This day was a joint effort of friends and family to create a day for everyone to shut out the world around them; to just live in a perfect and happy day.

And that's what this was.

Situated on Bear Pond at a family home in the middle of the Autumn's peak color show, these girls made their promises surrounded with those who knew them best.

Tall Timber Lodge - New Limerick, ME

There are lodge and camp options on many Maine Ponds for wedding venues .The Tall Timber Lodge in New Limerick was such a pretty and unique place in the middle of the Northern Maine Woods. Tall Timber Lodge offers a white linen covered dock designed with weddings in mind and a great reception space under a tent, as well as an outside bar area for the mingling and star gazing.

Maine Woods Micro-Weddings

Western Mountains

Another thing Maine has in abundance is trees...so many trees!!! Within these forests are some of the pretties and most intimate places to have whatever type of celebration you can imagine. The Hive Properties in Brownfield, Maine was such a great place to host a Micro-Wedding. The families stayed all weekend in cabins and the venue offered a beautiful site space in the birch trees, a reception tent, and a bar area that felt like a secret somehow.

Maine Riverside Camps

This Micro-Wedding was the cherry on top of a busy season. I wasn't sure what to expect after scouting the location, but this beautiful bride had a vision, and that vision was incredibly executed.

Located on land with part of the Sandy River running through it we walked through the day with one photo opportunity after another.

Any meaningful place can host a Micro-Wedding with planning and vision. This shows how a little imagination can make for the prettiest wedding as long as you surround yourself with your loved ones and decor that represents who you both are and what you both love.

Maine's beautiful diversity of venues offers micro-wedding options to suit every couple's unique style and preferences. Whether you envision a cozy seaside gathering or a charming woodland ceremony, the state's intimate celebration offerings make it easy to create a memorable day. With so many choices, Maine truly has something special for every love story.
